"Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the fish’s belly.  And he said:

“I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction,And He answered me." Jonah 2:1-2

We ask You, O merciful One, to do with us, we the sinners, as You did with the people of Nineveh, have mercy on us according to Your great mercy. For You are a compassionate and an all merciful God, and You are kind, patient, and the good Philanthropic One.
